Whistler Monday Morning Real Estate Market Update
Good Morning!
I know you're probably pretty busy this Monday morning so I'll get straight to it today.
Now that the holidays are over with, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics are starting to dominate the Vancouver news these days. With over 70% of the Whistler buyers and sellers hailing from the lower mainland we're starting to really see some increased activity in the market up here. I've been in meetings with buyers and sellers for 10 of the past 14 days. So, it's plain to see that the market here is definitely back on stronger footing.

I also wanted to draw your attention to a couple of really great buys up at The Coast Hotel on Blackcomb (formerly the Marriott). Suites #144 & #146 are both two bedroom corner suites listed at $295,000 and $299,000 respectively in this Phase 2 ski-in/ski-out hotel. #146 is facing right onto the ski slope & #144 is on the opposite corner of the south wing of this building with a quiet forest view. I frankly find it amazing that you can still find a 2 bedroom property right on the ski slope here for under $300,000. Click here to take a look at the information sheets on both of these suites.
It's actually a fact that in many buildings such as The Coast you can use your suite for more than the allotted 56 days a year. Check out a video I did a few weeks ago that describes little known insights into the way Phase 2 properties operate in Whistler.
