Whislter Monday Morning Coffee

Good Morning!

I spent a bit of time recording some new video blogs for everyone this past week. Topics you may want to watch are of course the state of the snowfall in Whistler versus Cypress in Vancouver. Just trying to do my small part to dispell the prevalent thinking that there's no snow for the Olympics. Check out the video here.

I also felt it was important to make a few comments explaining the Intrawest foreclosure situation. There are a few misconceptions that I've been hearing from clients on that which I though needed to be addressed. Take a look at the Intrawest foreclosure video post here.

Finally, I wanted to bring buyers and sellers up to speed on my thoughts regarding post-Olympics price levels in the real estate market here in Whistler and Pemberton. Just my two cents but I think you'll value the opinion of a local real estate expert like myself who's been working in this market for over 18 years. I've got my ear to the ground much more than any armchair real estate analyst viewing our market from afar. Click here for my post-Olympics market value commentary.

As usual you may click here for all the newest listings in Whistler and Pemberton in the past 7 days and click here for all the properties that have sold in the past 7 days as well.

P.S.  I just listed a great property in Alpine Meadows. This is a 2.5 bedroom house built in 1999 that you could use for your personal Whistler cabin and there's also an old timer A-frame 1 bedroom cabin at the top of the 14,000 sq. ft. lot (it's a rather steep lot with stairs up to the upper cabin). This A-frame is currently being rented for $1,250. Take a look at the video tour here. This is a really great opportunity at $749,000.
