Whistler Monday Morning Coffee

Good Morning!

We're into the final week of the Olympics and what a time we're having here. Hard to believe the changes in our little town over the past 10 days. The Village is a sea of people day and night and there are cowbells everywhere! Speaking of cowbells, click here for a funny video I took at the Women's Downhill last week.

The one thing that has really struck me over the course of the Olympics so far is that everyone's fears about how crazy things were going to be have been unfounded. I've been able to drive my car and generally move around unimpeded during the Games. Security is everywhere but it's pretty much unobtrusive and everyone is being very courteous and friendly. The Olympics so far have been a really fantastic experience. We've taken the kids to see Men's Luge, Biathlon, Cross Country relay, Women's Downhill & Super-G, Men's Downhill & Super-G and we have Women's Slalom on tap for next Friday. We've even been able to get out to a Medal Ceremony and a few free Village concerts with Sam Roberts, Jully Black, and The Barenaked Ladies.

So, on to the Whistler and Pemberton real estate related stuff.

Go ahead and click here for all the newest listings in Whistler and Pemberton in the past 7 days and click here for all the properties that have sold in the past 7 days as well.

I've recently brought a gorgeous Pemberton home back on the market. This property was listed at $999,000 last year and is now back at the amazing price of $899,000. This Georgie Award winning home is one of the finest properties in Pemberton and has 360 degree mountain views of Mount Currie and all the surrounding peaks. Click here to take a look at the video I shot of it last week. Someone's going to get the steal of the century on this home as it's listed right now far below the price it was built for in 2005.
