Well, a bit of big news happening here in the Whistler real estate world as I am currently in the process of moving my real estate practice to another company in town. I will be working with the Sutton West Coast Realty Group as of Monday, March 15th.
The shift to Sutton West Coast Realty makes a lot of sense from a pure business perspective for me. It's a fantastic company with an excellent reputation, a much better location right in the heart of the main Whistler Village attracting great buyer walk-in traffic and there's plenty of parking for clients.
One of the biggest reasons for the move is that it's a statistical fact that 70-80 percent of all Whistler buyers come from the Vancouver area and Sutton Group has a extremely strong presence in the Vancouver market. That kind of brand recognition is a very strong fit with the marketing of my client's properties that I'm doing in Whistler. Especially as we begin to realize the huge legacy of the enhanced Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver to Whistler. This new highway will truly transform Whistler into a virtual suburb of Vancouver with it's minimal 1.5 hour drive time. I'm very excited to make this shift to such a well exposed company in the very market that we draw the most buyers from.
