Whistler Monday Morning Coffee
Good Morning!
Well it appears many of you were listening when I said that
#217 Blackcomb Lodge
was a great buy at the newly reduced price of $139,000. Shortly after
sending last week's update email we ended up getting 9 clients calling
me back who were very interested in it. Of that, we received two offers
and now have one accepted from a client of mine in England. He's
getting an incredible deal on a great Whistler Village condo with solid
revenues. If you're still interested in a property along these lines
and in a price range under $175,000 I have a couple of other options
for you up my sleeve so just drop me an email and I'll bring you up to
speed.
On to a listing I've mentioned a couple of times but I think it should be mentioned again.
- #226 Aspens is the steal of the century. It's a 2 bedroom ski-in/ski-out condo featuring a pool and 3 hot tubs right on the slope at Blackcomb. It's just about 100 feet up the slope from Blackcomb Base and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. It's currently listed at $639,000 and it's had 3 offers on it over the past 2 weeks in the low $500,000 range. The seller was not interested in dealing in that low of a range but I'm told by the listing agent that the seller would possibly take as low as $565,000 for it. Click here to take a look at all the currently listed 2 bedroom Aspens suites along with all of the sales of 2 bedroom Aspens suites since the beginning of 2009. As you can see, there hasn't been a sale of a 2 bedroom unit in the complex under $645,000 in that time period. I can also tell you there hasn't been a 2 bedroom sell in The Aspens for under $600,000 for over 9 years!
The current listing inventory in Whistler and Pemberton now sits at 1169 active listings which is down by 13 from last week.
