Whistler Monday Morning Real Estate Update
Good Morning!
Well, it's official. The market has come back to some more normal levels. The pace of business has improved and is now approaching the velocity that would be thought of as a normal market by historical measures (around 550 transactions a year). This is proving to be the case as evidenced personally by our team having recently received several accepted offers on properties in the past two weeks. There also seems to be a bit of a concern by buyers lately about multiple offers. In Vancouver, the market has heated up considerably and there have been many, many multiple offer situations on properties. Whistler buyers have gotten wind of this and are somewhat concerned having heard the same is true in Whistler and it is.
It's quite clear that the bottom of our market occurred several months ago and that the volume of listings here is starting to tighten up considerably in the six months leading up to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Prices are still relatively low but the bargain basement deals are getting scarcer. If you were wondering what the market will do leading up to the Olympics I think it's getting clearer. Now's the time to get off the fence and make a move if you've been planning one.
Our new Whistler property search website at www.WhistlerHomesNow.com continues to be a real hit with our buyers and sellers as truly the #1 search tool for Whistler real estate. One new feature we added recently is the ability to search by individual condo complex. Once you've created and logged into your account just look at the bottom right hand side of the search fields and open up the section that says "Additional Features". So, if you're only looking for listings in The Aspens, The Legends, Pinnacle Ridge or any other Whistler or Pemberton condo complex you can easily do that.
Have a great week!
