Monday Whistler Real Estate Update
Wow - the Whistler real estate market has really amped up in the past week! We've had tons of new buyers coming into town for showings last week and over the weekend. I think the news of all the great buys on offer here this summer has finally filtered down to the masses and with summer holidays beginning to wane and thoughts turning to fall-time buyers have shifted their focus.
We have a perfect storm of extremely low interest rates coupled with historically very low asking prices on Whistler property and lots of inventory to choose from. This is the main thrust behind our latest uptick in buyer activity here. Even the slow summer in Pemberton is swinging back up with showings beginning to increase on many of our Pemberton properties as well.
One really great deal to note from the past few days are a set of foreclosures at the Whistler Town Plaza in Whistler Village. There are several one bedroom suites on offer right now for $289,000 and the most recent sales of identical suites were in June for $319,000. Can you say bargain?! Might be worth coming down to the Robson Square Courthouse in Vancouver with an offer of $275,000. I think these suites have a built in upside of at least $30,000 right out of the gate.
Let me know if you're interested and have a great week!
