Monday Morning Coffee October 31, 2011

Good morning!

Activity in Whistler this past weekend seemed a bit on the low side as showings seemed to be less frequent probably due to many families choosing to stick around home due to Halloween activities with the kids. We managed to make it to a few Halloween parties with the family and another one coming up tonight along with trick or treating of course!

Now, down to business:
  • #553 Coast Hotel on Blackcomb has just been reduced to $169,000. This is hands-down the best bang for your buck if you want a slopeside 1 bedroom condo in Whistler. The Coast Hotel is a Phase 2 restricted condo complex allowing 28 days winter and 28 days summer owner use. This south-facing suite is on the pool side with stunning views overlooking the slope.
  • #301 Bear Lodge at Town Plaza is a 2 bedroom condo on the quiet side of Bear Lodge facing Blackcomb. This suite has just reduced yesterday from $499,900 to $419,900. Unheard of pricing for a quiet-side condo in Bear Lodge which is a very quick walk through Whistler Village to both gondolas.
  • Now here's an interesting option. 6312 Lorimer Road is a solid house down in Whistler Cay Estates. Close to the Valley Trail, Myrtle Philip Elementary School and a very quick walk or bike to the Village. It even has a 2 bedroom suite and all for $899,000. A great home for someone looking for something close to the Village for under $1 million.
This week we've got a grand total of 1051 active listings in the Whistler and Pemberton area. Down by 16 from last week.
