What a Massive Weekend in Whistler!
Earlier today, I was sitting at Celebration Plaza after the big Labour Day Long Weekend had finished and I have to tell you it is one of the craziest weekends I have ever seen in Whistler! A lot of the business owners I talked to over the past couple of days said it had been their busiest Labour Day ever. George McConkey at McCoos mentioned that he'd never seen it that busy in his store since the Olympics, so that's great. I'm really glad to see things picking up in the village as well as the local businesses in Whistler. You could see by the previous footage that there had been quite a bit of clean-up happening in the village, and a lot of the crowds had gone but it was an amazing weekend and it was really good to see the crowd back in Whistler. The sunshine helped too!
