Whistler Monday Morning Coffee

Good Morning!

What an amazing day it was up in Whistler yesterday. Gorgeous weather and views for miles!

I don't usually plug other businesses in my weekly emails but I just have to give a shout out to one of my friends and neighbours in Pemberton. Michael Guy and his wife Susan Somerville have recently opened up an incredible new restaurant named Western Promises Food in Mount Currie. It's located where the old Wicked Wheel pizza restaurant used to be on Hwy 99. Michael has just recently left his position as a chef at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler and the down to earth, homecooked meals at his new restaurant are TO DIE FOR! Check them out at their website www.WesternPromisesFood.com
They do event catering too.

On another note, I've been getting quite a few calls and emails lately with questions from clients asking me to explain how Phase 2 condo hotels work. I thought I would give you the links to a couple of video blogs I did last year that go into it in a bit more detail. Take a look at the videos here and here.

Notable New Listings in the Past 7 Days:

This is a first but there were no outstanding notable new listings in the past week as far as I'm concerned. Yes, 31 new listings but no smoking great deals in my mind (see the new listings below). Sorry folks - I just tell it how I see it.

There were however a couple of interesting sales in the past week. Read on for that...
Notable Solds in the Past 7 Days:
  • #1 Gleneagles which is a 3 bedroom/3 bath townhome on the Chateau Whistler Golf Course sold for $825,000 last week. That was a good buy as it was semi-renovated. Makes our listing at #4 Snowberry look very good at $889,000 with a similar renovation done to it.
The current listing inventory in Whistler and Pemberton now sits at 992 active listings which is down by 8 from last week.
