Whistler Monday Morning Coffee July 25, 2011

Finally some great weather this past weekend and with Crankworx wrapping up it was a very busy weekend in the Village. Many of the locals were commenting that it was the busiest summer weekends they had ever seen. I would have to agree since it was nearly shoulder to shoulder on the Village Stroll this afternoon and it was also very difficult to gain access to any listings for my client showings over the past two days since everything was booked solid. Mountain biking is good for business!

Notable Listings in the Past 14 Days
  • For all you bargain hunters out there (I know there's a few) I thought I'd put together a bit of a round-up of what's available for 1 bedroom Phase 1 properties in Whistler Village under $325,000 at the moment as well as 2 bedroom Phase 1 properties under $500,000. These are two price points where we have not seen prices go under in over 7 years. Take a look at those fantastic bargains and jump on one. We're up in sales volume by 20% this year to date over last as buyers just like you get off the fence and dive into these low prices.
  • 1465 Olive Street in Pemberton is a newly renovated 4 bedroom/2 bath, 1,820 sq. ft. home in "The Glen" in Pemberton. This property is south facing with a huge deck and a killer view of Mount Currie. There's a double garage, an outdoor wood-fired sauna and even a pumptrack in the back yard. All for the unheard of low price of $499,000. This is hands-down one of Pemberton's best buys right now. Give me a call and I'll take you over for a tour.
  • I also wanted to give everyone a heads-up that there is a 2 bedroom Town Plaza suite in Deer Lodge coming on the market this week at $399,000. This price for a Village 2 bedroom is completely unheard of and it will sell instantly I'm sure. If you're interested please ring me asap.
Notable Solds in the Past 14 Days
  • #11 London Lane sold last week at $511,000. This was a nice 2.5 bedroom townhome located on the lane just behind where the Petro-Can gas station used to be in Whistler Creekside. Great location and a very good buy at that.
Today's listing inventory in Whistler and Pemberton now sits at 1085 active listings.
