Whistler Monday Morning Coffee March 21, 2011
Good Morning!
Well, unfortunately we've "only" had 67
cm of new snow in the past week and our accumulated base is "only" 1360
cm. That's a packed base of 360 cm. I hope it snows some more - we sure
do need it!
Hopefully you enjoyed the new format of
Monday Morning Coffee last week with the inclusion of the price adjusted
properties. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve for the coming weeks
so stay tuned. In the meantime, read on for all the latest Whistler and
Pemberton market info for the past week.
Notable New Listings in the Past 7 Days:
A couple of really interesting new listings for you to take a look at:
- As mentioned last week we've just listed suite #1260 which a great one bedroom condo in the Phase 2 restricted Delta Whistler Village Suites for $219,000. Click here to take a look at the details. This represents huge value and well below historical sales figures for one bedroom suites in this complex.
- We also brought on two very affordable and newly renovated one bedroom condos at Whistler Creekside. 2235-1 Sapporo Drive at Gondola Village was recently renovated and includes and in-suite washer/dryer. This one bedroom/1 bath condo is located within a very close walking distance to the Creekside Gondola (literally about a 2 minute walk) and is offered at $264,900. K203 Tamarisk is just about a one minute drive south of Whistler Creek and is a fully renovated one bedroom/1 bath unit featuring a brand new kitchen with concrete contertops, bathroom, firplace, wiring, cork floors, fir doors - the works! Offered at $329,000.
- #30 Pinnacle Ridge just came on the market. This complex is a ski-in/ski-out at Blackcomb and is a highly sought-after location. This townhome is 2,100 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms/5 baths and was just renovated to a high level. Click here to take a look at this stunner. Offered at $2,699,000.
Notable Solds in the Past 7 Days:
- We just sold #505 Westin at $239,000 with a list price of $249,000 to buyers from the UK. This gorgeous one bedroom corner suite in the slopeside Westin Whistler Hotel & Spa was a great buy and overlooked the main Whistler Village and the Whistler Gondola.
- #14 Taluswood just sold at $965,000 with a list price of $1,075,000. This was a really well staged 3 bedroom/3 bath, 1,665 sq. ft. townhome up in Nordic Estates with ski-in access and a summertime pool. I was expecting this one to sell quickly.
- We just sold 2601 Callaghan Drive for $925,000 with an original asking price of $995,000. This duplex recently underwent a huge renovation and is a real gem. Great clients of mine from Lions Bay picked this one up. Congratulations to John, Carol, Janice and Mark - enjoy your new Whistler cabin!
Notable Price Reductions in the Past 7 Days:
- #234 Aspens just reduced from $409,000 to $389,000. Great one bedroom suite in this ever-popular slopeside complex right at Blackcomb.
- #26 Cedar Ridge is a 4 bedroom townhome right on the ski-out trail on Blackcomb. Down by $100,000 to $1,299,000. Needs a reno but a stellar buy nonetheless.
