Known for housing hundreds of athletes during the 2010 Olympic Games, Cheakamus Crossing is a beautiful brand new community offering newly built townhomes and condominiums. This new neighbourhood provides affordable and high-quality housing with local shops just around the corner! Cheakamus Crossing, is also known for its sun, front door access to recreational opportunities and active family lifestyle!
Glenda Blatchford owns a townhome at Cheakamus Crossing and shares her impressions of living in the area:
Cheakamus is a really cool, diverse mix of local families and weekenders. We like that it's all nearly brand new. Constructed primarily as residences for the 2010 Olympic athletes it then became employee housing after that and also has a mix of regular market residential condos, townhomes and houses. There's a new BMX track, an athlete training centre and a cafe and restaurant. All the great mountain bikes trails are here too like Riverside and you can access the wonderful hiking up at Cheakamus Lake. Best of all though is when we come home from a day in Vancouver it's the first neighbourhood in Whistler so we're home that much sooner!
