1. Prime Location

Located just two hours north of Vancouver, Whistler offers the best of both worlds: being far enough from Vancouver, but close enough to do a day trip to the city. The drive to Whistler consists of incredible scenery on the Sea to Sky Highway, so commutes to and from Vancouver will always be rewarded by that glorious Alpenglow. 

About 40 minutes before Whistler is the town of Squamish, known for the variety of shops where Whistler locals tend to stock up on bulk buys. Also in the area is the Stawamus Chief, a world known climbing wall which also consists of a number of hiking trails.

A mere 25 minutes past Whistler is the town of Pemberton, another local favourite. In-fact, tons of Whistlerites now live here and make the easy commute to Whistler each day to work. Known for their funky, down-home feel, mountain views, local shops and farms, Pemberton is the perfect antidote to the busy Whistler life.

Taking a  walk down the Village Stroll, you will come across a number stores and clothing shops you would tend to see in a city like Vancouver. The village is filled with popular chained stores, fine dining, hotels, and even well renowned spas. In the summer, there is even a Farmer's Market which takes place every Sunday at Blackcomb base.

The best part about Whistler, is that it's for everyone! Even for families that do not ski & snowboard in the winter or mountain bike in the summer, there still are a number of activities to do around town.

If having mountains in your backyard wasn't enough, Whistler Mountain Bike Park offers 2,180m of descending, ranking #1 in the world! Lift accessed and built on the slopes of the Whistler Mountain, the bike park offers trails that suit park riders of all types and ability levels.

Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America and consists of the interconnected Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain - meaning you get 2 for 1 and double the fun when you purchase a ski pass. Known for having roughly 8,171 acres  of terrain, Whistler Blackcomb offers everything from gentle slopes and wide groomed cruisers to tree skiing, steep alpine bowls, couloirs and terrain parks. Don't forget to take a ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola that connects both of these behemoths together.
