Let's dig into the real estate market figures for Whistler and Pemberton in the second quarter of 2023.
Whistler Market Recap:
In Whistler's Q2, there were 151 sales, primarily in April and May, aligning with the annual trend. Sales of single-family homes and townhomes notably surged year over year and quarter over quarter, while condos also experienced a minor uptick. Inventory witnessed a 13% upswing from April to June, marked by robust activity in the luxury market, featuring 11 sales surpassing $4 million. Anticipating Q3, the customary brisk summer market is projected to gain momentum in September, with buyers seeking properties before the snow season; however, the shift towards a buyer's market underscores the importance of commencing the search early for broader choices.
Pemberton Market Recap:
Moving to Pemberton, Q2 saw 38 sales, reflecting a 52% rise from Q1. Median sale prices for single-family homes and condos exhibited substantial year-over-year growth. The luxury category in Pemberton stood out, with four sales exceeding $2 million in Q2, signifying a noteworthy surge compared to both Q1 and 2022.
